    A change of media has diverted Jean Williams from her previous work in clay sculpture and graphic arts to beading in the Niagara tradition.   With needle and thread she stitches her art expressions "one to seven beads at a time".
    Niagara beading dates from the late 1800's when the Native American tribes in the Niagara Falls area developed it to produce trade merchandise.  
    Jean has taken it several steps beyond to use it as an art form.
