Mike Patrick
Mike considers himself quite
fortunate to have a career designing and creating art.
He has no particular favorite form or style of art. Mike's art ranges
from representational to abstract while subject matter is widely varied,
from automotive art to portraiture, product illustration to depictions
of rural life and nostalgia, wildlife to aircraft. He enjoys the
aesthetics of color, design, composition, texture, form and function
whether it's a commercial or a fine art piece.
Mike has no formal art training. However, his career in illustration and
graphic design with a mix of high profile clients and the incessant
pressures of deadlines, his design and illustration skills had more than
ample opportunity to mature and that has carried over into his fine art
work.
His piece, 'Spring Blossoms', won Best of Show' and 'People's Choice' at
the WAAL Fall 2007 Show at High Road Gallery as well as 'First Place' at
the Delaware Artists Guild Show at Corner Framing in December 2007.
A selection of his work is licensed and used on a variety of products as
well as prints and posters. Mike always welcomes inquiries regarding
commissioned art.
